Green Diocese Initiative
On 1st September 2018, Oswald Cardinal Gracias, Archbishop of Bombay, launched the Green Diocese Initiative – an on-going process of caring for our common home. The AOE animates this process through a five-point thrust comprising:
- Spirituality
- Education
- Engagement
- Networking
- Personal Lifestyles
Laudato Si' Diocese
Laudato Si' Diocese
In 2021, the Archdiocese of Bombay embarks on a seven-year journey towards integral ecology through the Laudato Si’ Action Platform launched by the Vatican Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development. Thus the AOE will align its existing Green Diocese initiatives to that of the Laudato Si' Goals and coordinate the entire journey for the Archdiocese.
The discernment process for the Archdiocese of Bombay began in July-August 2021, and an outcome document will be made available in January 2022. The AOE has enrolled the Archdiocese of Bombay on the Laudato Si' Action Platform in November 2021.
